Grapes

Montepulciano and Nero di Troia in varying amounts depending on the vintage.

Production area

Territory northwest of Ruvo di Puglia.

Farming system

Trellis with an intensity of 3,000 vines per hectare.

Harvest time

End of September for Montepulciano, end of October for Nero di Troia.

Winemaking

The grapes, freshly harvested, are brought to the winery for cluster selection and subsequent crushing and destemming. A pre-fermentation maceration is then carried out at controlled temperature for 24/48 hours, followed by fermentation in steel for 7/10 days, always at controlled temperature. After racking, the wine undergoes malolactic fermentation before bottling. After a few months in the bottle, it is released to the market.

Organoleptic notes

It flaunts a ruby red dress with violet hues. The exuberant aromas of blackberries and plums, plum and black cherry, red flowers, and mint candies, precede a significant structure on the palate. With its dense tannic texture, alcohol and freshness create the right harmony for a memorable finish.
