Tradition tells that on a freezing night, the Devil appeared at the door of a jazzo (the typical local stone enclosure). It was neither prayers nor miracles that defeated him, but the courage of two young shepherds and the fury of their mastiffs. From that night—from the fire, the fear, and the harsh land—comes the bold character of this wine.

The Art of Massimiliano Di Lauro

To visually tell this legend on one of the best red wines of Puglia, Crifo chose the style of Massimiliano Di Lauro. On the label, flames and shadows intertwine with the Murgian nature: a promise of intensity visible even before uncorking the bottle.

Processing: Crushing and destemming followed by pre-fermentation maceration (24/48 hours).
Fermentation: The must ferments in steel for 7-10 days at controlled temperature.
Aging: After malolactic fermentation, the wine undergoes a passage in barrels that enhances its complexity, typical of the great reds of Southern Italy.
